Sunrise at the Fort Lauderdale Temple--Beautiful!

I took this picture the very early morning of the press conference kicking off the Special Preview Tour/VIP week launching the Open House events for the Fort Lauderdale Temple in Davie, FL--it was a chilly day, but the sunrise hitting the Temple just so simply took my breath away :)  Had to share, even if it was a simple pic from my cell phone--not exactly a professional shot, but by far, one of my faves that I will treasure forever.....  Enjoy!

Walking in the Rain

Take a long walk in the pouring rain, let your hair spill freely down your back and smell all life that's flowing in your veins awaken in the storming sky's attack. Hold out your hands for those tiny kisses to lick and cool the heartache--and you smile, splashing past the windshield-wipered masses stuck in traffic--makes it all worthwhile. Look between the clouds as sunlight rainbows sparkling color in each falling drop. Amid new puddles children freely frolick, until their mothers scream for them to stop. Close your eyes and let the chilled breeze blush you-- just catch the taste of wet sky on your tongue. no matter if your clothes are soaked right through, they'll dry out as you walk back in the sun. Caroling, Caroling, thru the SUN--Singing our Hearts Out this Christmas Eve

Wait, Wha??? Isn't it supposed to be "Caroling, caroling, through the SNOW?!!"  Yeah, well, this is Christmas, "SO FLA STYLE," BAYBEE!!! Where we have Rudolph the Red-beaked FLAMINGO and COCONUTS roasting on a sunny beach, and where we string rows of lights on PALM TREES and go to the BEACH Christmas Day...where we have BRIGHT, not WHITE Christmases :)  Awww, I'm so sorry, they don't sell snow tires or window scrapers here--but we do have a nice assortment of boats, tarps, and you can always buy RAIN X to wipe across your windshield--that stuff is MAGIC, I tell ya..... Ahhh, but alas, I digress.... This Christmas I had to spend apart from my folks and my brother--mostly because of my mom's fragile condition.  I didn't like it.  Not one little bit! Instead of moping around, feeling sad and blue and sorry for myself, I opted to spread a little cheer to those who likely could use it MUCH more than I....to some folks in local nursing homes...
