New Temple Hitting South Florida--Fort Lauderdale Mormon Temple Info

OK, folks, it's been so long since I've blogged and written poetry n stuff, but I've got a good excuse.  Well, more than one....but the one I want to focus on right now and get the word out about is the coming of the grand opening, Open House, Cultural Celebration, and Dedication of the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...the Mormons.  Guess who's involved for media relations for this wonderful event in South Florida's Church history?  Yuppers, that would be me.  AND a bunch of other WAYYYYY talented people.  

To say this is a chance of a lifetime sounds so cliche, but it's true.  I'm humbled, honored, and so grateful to have this incredible chance to learn, grow, work, and connect with so many people across South Florida and the Church to share and promote and educate about these events and also about my faith.  I get a bit misty-eyed, emotional, and at times, flat out speechless--and those of you who know me KNOW that NEVER happens.  Until now.....

I truly "stand all amazed" and had to share with you in this forum, too.

Walking in the Rain

Take a long walk in the pouring rain, let your hair spill freely down your back and smell all life that's flowing in your veins awaken in the storming sky's attack. Hold out your hands for those tiny kisses to lick and cool the heartache--and you smile, splashing past the windshield-wipered masses stuck in traffic--makes it all worthwhile. Look between the clouds as sunlight rainbows sparkling color in each falling drop. Amid new puddles children freely frolick, until their mothers scream for them to stop. Close your eyes and let the chilled breeze blush you-- just catch the taste of wet sky on your tongue. no matter if your clothes are soaked right through, they'll dry out as you walk back in the sun.
